Women's Ministry

Our Purpose:
WCC's women's ministry is here to help you thrive and grow in every season of life. Our purpose is to minister to the needs of women in our church and community and to provide an alternative to what society offers by means of fellowship, teaching, and encouragement. All these avenues are conducted according to Biblical principles so that the women of WCC may be conformed to the image of Christ and so that they may reach others for Him. For more information please contact Phyllis at pfaulkenbury@wcchurch.com, 704.782.9500.

Fellowship and Events:
Both are designed for relationship building, outreach, and enjoyment! Women's Conferences, brunches, day trips, and craft nights are just a few examples of what is offered throughout the year. We invite you to take advantage of these special opportunities planned just for you and the friends you invite along or make along the way! Check out our newest Sweet Monday events by clicking the Sweet Monday link.

** "Ladies Spring Tea & Luncheon" was a real blessing! This is a note from our keynote speaker Mrs. Lana Witmore. (click link below to view) You are encouraged to keep in touch with her as she ministers to the people group of Northern India.  http://www.wcchurch.com/pmimages/Lana Thank You.pdf

Bible Study/Small Groups:
Groups are offered throughout the year at different locations and times and are facilitated by some of our gifts ladies teachers. These studies are open and welcome to any lady no matter where she is in her walk with God! An example of possible topics are marriage, children, biblical characters, relationships, and prayer. So join a group today and strengthen your relationship to God and to other women! Click on the Women's Bible Studies link for more information.

Outreach/Ministry:
The ladies of WCC support various needs of the local Crisis Pregnancy Center of Cabarrus County. We host a once a month luncheon for the clients of the center.
Click on the Crisis Pregnancy Center link for more information. We also have a Hospitality Ministry here at WCC which is a wonderful form of outreach within our own church to help those in need on as as needed basis. Click the Hospitality link for more infomation.

"Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as braided hair and the wearing of gold jewelry and fine clothes. Instead it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God's sight".

Mark 6:1-6

1Jesus left there and went to his hometown, accompanied by his disciples. 2When the Sabbath came, he began to teach in the synagogue, and many who heard him were amazed. "Where did this man get these things?" they asked. "What's this wisdom that has been given him, that he even does miracles! 3Isn't this the carpenter? Isn't this Mary's son and the brother of James, Joseph, Judas and Simon? Aren't his sisters here with us?" And they took offense at him. 4Jesus said to them, "Only in his hometown, among his relatives and in his own house is a prophet without honor." 5He could not do any miracles there, except lay his hands on a few sick people and heal them. 6And he was amazed at their lack of faith.
